WOAH

This is so awesome I can't even believe. I had seen snibbits, but the final product is like :D :0.

As always, you have done a FANTASTIC job making Moriarty and Sebastian seem as real as possible. You are a pro at making Moriarty an understandable character.

And of course you had to make me go all teary over a character I am not supposed to like.

Sheesh, you need to stop being awesome or something!

I'm very impressed.

I must admit that when I finished reading "A Study in Emerald", I didn't have any particular idea of who the narrator actually was, other than it wasn't John Watson (as the story initially implied). Given Sebastian Moran's military history in ACD canon, slotting him in to the role makes perfect sense.

The story that you've woven around it with Moriarty and his ambition to become one of the gods is very chilling. And the duality of the ending with Sebastian asking to join Rache at unspecified point in the future and yet still following Jim for now - well, that's VERY inriguing.

Oh, and BTW, you mentioned "devouring" every ASIE fusion you could get your hands on. Aside from yours, I've only read one other over on fanfiction.net. I don't suppose you could point me in the diection of some others? I have to admit that I'm not really into explicit S/J slash, but ASIE fusions and other crossovers greatly intrigue me. So, if you have pointers, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it intriguing; I really wanted to leave the ending a little ambiguous.

As for the other ASiE fusions:

There's an excellent one on the meme that is surprisingly Lestrade centric but brilliantly done: http://sherlockbbc-fic.livejournal.com/3114.html?thread=8764202#t8764202

And another lovely one from the meme: http://sherlockbbc-fic.livejournal.com/2262.html?thread=4185046#t4185046

That's all I've got for BBC verse, but there are canon ones in my bookmarks folder if you want them!

Thank you so much.

The Lestrade one is awesome. I do so love Lestrade (in ACD canon, the Granada series and especially Rupert Graves' version in the BBC series).

I think the other one is actually the one I read at FF.net. The author must have transferred it over there. It's how I actually discovered ASIE in the first place.

Canon versions would be good too. I'll check them out.

Thanks again!

Hee, thank you SO MUCH for still reading this post-links cock up! And I'm happy to hear you liked ASiE. Neil Gaiman never fails to disappoint.

<3 Love and gratitude.
