When I saw the notification, I was "yeah, the fill is here!", but I had never expected my small prompt to be turned into a thing of such beauty.
I'm honestly smiling and crying now at the same time.
Oh, it was so *them*, and so CANON, and now I wished this were the real beginning of His Last Bow rather than those few lines...
I loved everything about this fic - the way it alternates between Watson's narrative and real scenes, the characterization, which was without fault, the small appearance of Lestrade, the melancholy, the humour...
The bit with the files stuck with me especially:
‘Holmes.’ Watson rises and walks over, to kneel down on the floor beside his friend and stare him full in the eye. Holmes silences himself, briefly closes his eyes.
‘Yes,’ he whispers. ‘Yes, I know.’
and this one line: Holmes is silent through all this-rarely does he enjoy speaking of the dead these days. But those are only examples, and I really and truly cherished every word. I can't ( ... )

I make icons (would offer you a set of five for an adaptation of Holmes of your choice, or a specific episode), as well as [friends only] banners and headers (you would receive two of those). I can also draw a bit, so if you like my style and can give me a specific scene in the adaptations, I might even draw it for you (one character only, though).

I checked out your work-- which is absolutely lovely, by the way; your icons are to die for. And since my userpic list is sorely lacking in Granada icons (D:l Travesty!), I would basically love you forever and worship the earth you step on if you'd make a 5-batch of those. I don't really have an episode preference, but it would pretty much make my life if you managed to work a Lestrade icon in there. *glomps you*

Ok, 5 Granada icons it is! One thing I should like to know before I start: do you want the icons to be from early on in Granada, or from later episodes, or is it all the same to you? As you may know, Jeremy Brett's appearance changed rather drastically due to his illness and wrong medication. A lot of people don't like how he looks in those later episodes.
One Lestrade icon (or even two) is guaranteed! Colin Jeavons is fabulous, isn't he?
I don't mind your friending me at all! I will friend you back, or at least watch you fic journal!

As to the icons, it's really all the same to me which period they're from. I still think Brett is amazing all the way through.
