“Clark, Clark,” Chloe called as he made her way up the stairs into Clark’s fortress.

“Clark-” she called one last time looking into the dark loft. Then she saw him.

He was pressed against the wall with his knees pulled up to his chest staring into space. Chloe knelt beside him running a hand through his hair before rapping her arm around him pulling him into her. “Oh-Clark”

“He’s dead Chloe, I couldn’t protect him and now…”

“Ssshhh, he was doing what he wanted. Remember that he died doing what he wanted to do.”

“Yeah, protecting us.”

“First Father’s Day without him huh?” Oliver asked as he knelt down next to Clark.

“Yeah,” Clark replied as he traced the engraving of his Father’s grave, “I was just getting used to him not being here…then…”

“It never gets easy but you do get used to it, in time.”

“Now I understand how Whitney felt.”

“Whitney,”

“An old…friend, he lost his father, I didn’t get it then.”

“You just have to remember the good times, and go out with me,”

“Go out with you… like on a date?”

“Yes on a date, it’s good for you”

“Really”

Title: In the Snow NEW
Word Count: 100
Challenge: CW-land
Rating: G
Characters/Pairings: Whitney

It was snowing.

When he thinks back that’s what he remembers most about that moment. He doesn’t remember his mother forcing him to wear a knitted hat and scarf he doesn’t need.

He doesn’t remember why he was out there, was he taking something to his father in the barn? Or was he just outside to play?

But what he does recall, what he does remember was seeing Lana across the field, dancing in the snow, spinning and twirling as if fell.

In just that one moment he felt a bit more in love with her.

And it was snowing.

Title: Lake Ice NEW

“Is there a reason we’re here?” Whitney asked chipping at the ice lake some more.

“Come on jock-boy it’s the middle of summer and this lake is still frozen, don’t you want to know why?” Chloe asked while aiming the portable heater at the lake.

“So why am I here and not Kent or Ross? And don’t call me that,” Whitney answered.

“Pete is busy writing a paper that was due yesterday and Clark just started acting weird when I told him I wanted to look into the lake,” Chloe said still trying to get the heater to get hotter.

Smallville: New World (AU Season 6 [Based on my cw_landbig bang from last year. You just need to know Whitney has been in a coma for four years and not dead] Whitney)

The world is so different.

You wouldn’t think four years is all that long a time, it’s not 20 years after all. But it’s long enough for the world to change. Lana’s with Lex, there is a league of people with powers fighting Lex, and everyone has a cell phone. And that may be the oddest part of all this, just how much everyone is attached to their phones. And texting? What the heck is texting? People don’t even talk on their phones anymore they type on them and what is with that. It’s just nuts.

It’s all so different.

Clark Kent
May, 15 1987 ~ May, 14 2010
He saved us all.

The grave was a simple granite slab arched at the top. The words were carved deep into the stone as it over looked that freshly relayed sod.

The grass was covered with lilies, roses and dozens of other flowers as they sat around the grave in a blend of red, yellows, blues and every other color in stark relief to the sea of black that surrounded the plot.

The dark suits and dresses of the gathered crowd stood in dark contrast to the bright sky above and the light of the sun beaming down on the sad faces of the funeral.
