[Rydia, patrolling the town in search of people to aid, heads over upon hearing the commotion. She tenses, getting ready to begin casting as soon as she sees what's causing the commotion. Spotting Rapunzel with her skillet gives her pause, though.]

Not bad!

[Self-defense is a necessity in this town, and she's relieved to see that the girl can manage that...at least, so far.]

You think so? You think it's not bad? I'm glad about that because sometimes I feel a little guilty smacking these guys around because it's not something a nice girl would do!

[And now three more are sneaking toward her, from the bushes.]

There's never anything wrong with defending yourself, Rapunzel--

[Rydia narrows her eyes, then casts Toad on the trio.]

WHOA! [Rapunzel's eyes widen as the spell takes effect.] How did you DO that?!

[She smirks as the toads all hop off in different directions.]

I learned such magic when I was a little girl. It comes in handy, now and then.

That was incredible! Will they be toads forever? And do you know why this forest is suddenly filled with bandits?!

[She nods.]

Well, until I feel like changing them back. As for the bandits...I'll bet anything this is because of the battle dome. It's not letting us in, so it's bringing the battles to us.

I don't like the sound of that...has anyone been hurt? [She feels a little...SORRY now, for the bandits-turned-toads. Strangely.]

[Rydia frowns in thought, then shakes her head.]

I haven't heard of any severe injuries, yet. Still, I wouldn't let my guard down. There doesn't seem to be any shortage of hostile people or creatures from the dome.

You mean....worse things than the men with pointy teeth? And cellulite?

[She doesn't REALLY know what cellulite is; only that Mother often tells her she's going to GET IT if she keeps baking the way she does.]

But yes, I've seen plenty of monsters already. Where's your place? Is it unchanged?

Mother just...tells me to look out for things. Dangerous things. And I live in Building Seven and so far it seems fine, but...do you think things will happen to it?

[She shrugs, a wry smile on her lips.]

Well, my house is currently a monster-infested castle, so it could.

I think I should go back to my room, now. Maybe.

[Rydia nods, unable to argue against that idea as long as said room is monster-free.]
