I've woefully neglected my livejournal account
Wow...no posts since last October. That's pretty bad. I blame facebook. It's so much more interactive. But this was supposed to be my diary of what was going on in my life. And my life has gone on. It may not be fascinating, but it's my life.
Let's see, what all has gone on since last October. In November my nephew Patrick came from California to stay with us for his annual hunting vacation. We always enjoy his visit. And then I had a nice Christmas with family. Not much went on in January other than more cold and snow. In February Darry and I drove to California. We were gone for a total of just over 5 weeks and took a cruise to Hawaii about midway. My mother was in the nursing home recovering from a broken pelvis when we left and when we came back from the cruise we found out that Darry's mom had fallen and broken her hip and was in the nursing home. Mom got out over a month ago and returned to her apartment and my MIL will be getting out of the nursing home and going into assisted living in a little over a week. Right now I'm in Wisconsin with my mom, sisters and two of my nieces. It's our annual craft retreat. We got here yesterday and I have one watercolor done so far. It's for our living room.
Tonight my third niece, her infant son and a family friend are coming to the retreat. It's the niece's birthday, so we decorated and we plan to have a cake. We'll be going back to Minneapolis on Sunday and I'll be heading home to North Dakota on Monday. No big plans for any trips or anything in the near future other than Darry going over to help get his mother moved into assisted living.
