What Scorned Women Do...
I promised thelastmehina that I would gloat after I was successful. And this evening played itself out perfectly for me.

So... The evening began with our characters running around. I established that I had a meeting with a dwarf who in previous games was one who had dealings with the Grinning Man, or Ahfil. Incidentally, he is the Suaven who was helping me. He did not require my devotion to grant me 3 ranks in devotion to him.
I also joined the Temple of Talia as an acolyte. I was serving primarily Alban and Lady Ecks. Alban had many tasks for me... And I was such a good listener. (I also got another player to kill Alban's wife in his season actions.)
He even told me the point of Vriyana’s scarring... That if she had not killed herself, what had happened made her a stronger woman, and that was the beauty he created.
I got closer to them, I spoke to Lady Ecks. I encouraged her to follow her heart with Alban, to marry him, since she was to be removed as high priestess. After all, he loved her and his wife was dead. I needed her to get the plan into motion, as I knew I could not fool him for long.
I discovered Paethira was to fight him, and concerned, because his death would ruin things, I went to the dwarf. I got poison from him to put on the blade. He also had used the puppet to possess a pretty, tall, strong ven. I totally enjoyed wunderworks ’ use of foreshadowing.
Afterwards, Alban obtained the Blade belonging to the Temple of Talia. We three went to Talia herself to get it. Talia warned Alban that there was a woman in the room who loved him, but wanted to hurt him. He thought it was Lady Ecks.
I was unable to poison the blade, but I got Lasga to give me Arisaph’s secret name in exchange for my testifying against Arisaph before the Earl of Serpents.
The Duel! It was epically wonderful. Kudos to wickedthought and grace_fades for a fabulous play!
Alban killed Paethira and when he, injured, returned to Eck’s side, they were going to leave. Arisaph was also injured and when he went to his Romance to ask for her tender help, she turned her back on him, and went with Alban, leaving him with a rank 13 heartbreak... Oh the plot thickens.
I got Ben to agree that Eck’s last act as high priestess would be to return the sword. There, Talia asks Alban if he will protect her. He agrees, and she says he will know when the time is right.
When they were leaving, I knew I needed to act. Ecks would soon be out of my reach, and my plan would be ruined. But I also couldn't get her alone. So, I drew a dagger from my sleeve and attacked her. While casting the Tulpa...
I gave her a rank 3 injury while everyone was stunned to react. As Vriyana’s limp body slumped to the ground, the Temple Guards skewered her. Removing the mask, Alban saw it was Vriyana. He thought it must be Arisaph’s plan, after all no woman would have thought of this.
And with that, Major Part I of my plan was accomplished: Take away the thing he loves the most, and become her.
When “Lady Ecks” and Alban were being questioned, at one point our questioner asked something about Vriyana’s ability to do this, and I, as Ecks, retorted, “Well, she failed.”
The evening wore on, and we were sent away from temple, Alban was asked not to return until invited.
We went to an inn, where Vriyana had the first strike against her. She is no Lady Ecks. While the fact she no longer has the Temple or the Priestess behind her might account for it, Alban’s suspicions were roused. I already knew my time was limited. While wickedthought thought my attack be be against Alban, I never intended to harm him physically, well, maybe at the very end... To put him out of his misery...
Soon a summons from Lasga appeared, asking for my assistance in bringing down Arisaph. Alban believes Arisaph was behind Vriyana’s attack and we both go the Earl of the Elk.
There, we accuse Arisaph and get invited to a poison party. I am offered style to agree that Lady Ecks was addicted to Silken Veil. I agree and when it is passed around, I take some, as Vriyana would have known Ecks used that. I enter into a Rank 5 addiction to it.
Which is fine. Alban leaves to get some air, and he finds Arisaph and they have a lovely double conversation where it sounds like they’re each talking about something different.
He sends for Gwin to try to lesson Arisaph’s heartbreak. And he is gone a long time. A long time while I’m on a drug that is like drinking 20 shots of expresso. I can conquer the world!
And I ask for some more of the lovely drug from the Earl, and he is generous enough to give me some for the road. And, unguarded by Alban... I head the temple for my coup de grâce.
Arriving, I meet an young priest. He is easily convinced that I merely wish to say my farewells to the Suaven Talia. He feels bad for me and lets me through.
In the temple, it is just me and 4 hand maidens. I kneel and seem to pray until finally I rise and tell them they are ruining my ability to commune with her, to step back.
They do so, and I kneel again, before taking a dagger formed from a shard of my broken Ork Sword, and I plunge it into her chest to remove her heart.
This is Part Two: Take what was most sacred to him, since he took what was most sacred to me. If he had never destroyed my sword, this would never have happened.
And...
Much whispering among wunderworks and wickedthought , and they leave the room to discuss what my fate is...
When they return I get...
DOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because I am the puppet, I am sorcery, and thus it is in effect... Dangit.. The one thing I forgot ^_^.
But, because Ben and John were good to me....
The dagger sticks in her heart. She screams!!! All Devoted to her hear it. I feel a pain in my own heart as every priestess in the temple drops, as every single ven who is devoted to Talia loses their devotions and takes a rank of injury equal to their devotion.
I am overwhelmed by fear. If I remain.... I can’t.
I run.
The dagger remains in her heart. Apparently it can only be removed by me.
I have left a Suaven in Pain.
Afhill has now granted me 5 ranks of blessings. It would appear I am one of his high priestesses...
Vriyana’s plans are ruined. She needed the heart of Talia. She was going to present it to Alban as a wedding gift, her vengeance complete!
However, Talia still kinda lives. But her blessings are GONE. And her devoted are injured.
And now, I’m probably going to die. Though, I knew if I succeeded, alot of people would want me dead. ^_^ I don’t expect to survive next session, but as one of Afhill’s beloved, I intend to make them earn it!
