fun with genetics
In another life, I was training to be a geneticist. Recently, I started learning about evolution and how it pertains to genes in general.
The science/creator in me is now incredibly curious about finding ways to turn on genes that are no longer active in current creatures. That just is intriguing. I shall find a scifi story out of this yet...
of course, I am one of those who thinks glow-in-the-dark danios and plants are awesome. Sadly, all I was ever allowed to make was glow-in-the-dark mold. Which has a very limited lifespan. Plus, mold really makes a pathetic pet.
