[2] Song Drabbles - [Yunjae; Yoosu)
Some old drabbles that I never posted, but am finally dusting off and putting up on here(I think these are from July).
yunjae; a thousand other boys could never reach you
Sometimes you think it’s an accident, like maybe he just slips into the wrong bed when it’s dark and he’s exhausted and the only light is a sliver of moonlight over Changmin’s bed. It has to be an accident, because in the morning he blushes and his eyes start apologizing for the mistake, and you hug him to say it’s okay (and remember how his breathing sounded inches from your ears).
It’s an accident, but it happens again and again (you don’t mind).
yoosu; baby, you are everything forever
Yoochun takes Junsu out in the early mornings sporadically, at least once a month and they always end up in the same kind of quaint cafes. He asks for a coffee and Junsu orders ginseng tea and they avoid each other’s eyes while their feet brush under cramped tables.
And if Yoochun closes his eyes and shuts off his logic he can pretend they’re on a date, for fleeting moments in between soft words and the bill.
Reality tastes bitter like the black coffee. He adds sugar.

And he’s not sure when it started all going down hill, but it’s two more quick words after the start of the end and he’s all ready teetering on the edge. They never fight, he claims cheerfully to his friends, and then he gets home and there’s some subtle misplaced thing of his own - some proof of the sabotage they’ve been doing since the beginning.
They never fight, not really, but they lie and manipulate and make the guilt creep up and rip each other open before either really knows what the problem is. Everything lies beneath the surface - simmers and tears and destructs while they smile and pretend (believe) they’re perfectly functional. Perfectly normal. Healthy.
The storybook couple with the fairytale romance and the happy, happy ending.
