Books I'm "reading"

May 28, 2013 03:28

I wonder if I'll ever learn how to do things on time? Maybe.

As it is, it's 3am on Tuesday and I haven't done any of the lab reports I have due at noon, or read any of the material or done the prelab for today's lab. I didn't do more than read about half of chapter 1 over the weekend, and I should have read through chapter 3 by now, maybe chapter 4. I don't know, I didn't go to lecture on Wednesday like the great numpty I am.

Because of the Adderall I took earlier, this is going to be a night of at least randomly productive procrastination.

I present to you a list of books sitting on my shelf that I am currently in the middle of reading, and approximately when I stopped reading, if I can even remember anymore.

1)    A Game of Thrones - George R. R. Martin (I’m actually, legitimately reading this one right now.)
2)    Clockwork Angel - Cassandra Clare (stopped about a week ago)
3)    Dreamfever - Karen Marie Moning (July 2012)
4)    Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (sometime spring 2013)
5)    The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins (late-November 2012)
6)    The Stand - Stephen King (sometime 2012)
7)    The Time Travelers - Caroline B. Cooney (May 2011)
8)    Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - Seth Grahame-Smith (spring 2011)
9)    The Vampire Lestat - Anne Rice (April 2012)
10) Stardust - Neil Gaiman (?)
11) The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien (seriously something like 2003)
12) The Fellowship of the Ring - J.R.R. Tolkien (2004-ish)
13) Fool - Christopher Moore (?)
14) Red Riding Hood - Sarah Blackley-Cartwright (spring 2011)
15) The Golden Compass - Phillip Pullman (? sometime around 2008 maybe?)
16) New York - Edward Rutherford (June 2012)
17) The Sea of Monsters - Rick Riordan (sometime 2010 or 2011)
18) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Seth Grahame-Smith (spring 2011)
19) Bloodsucking Fiends - Christopher Moore (sometime 2008 or so)
20) The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty - Anne Rice (early 2005)
21) The Vampire Armand - Anne Rice (2005-ish)
22) Wicked - Gregory Maguire (2008)
23) Dune - Frank Herbert (sometime in high school, 2003-2005)
24) A Wrinkle in Time - Madeline L’Engle (2006-ish)
25) Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte (spring 2010)
26) Emma - Jane Austen (January 2009)
27) Peter Pan - J.M. Barrie (August 2006)
28) Doctor Faustus - Christopher Marlowe (December 2010)
29) Dracula - Bram Stoker (January 2004)

After looking at this list, it's really kind of amazing to me that I wasn't diagnosed with ADD till I was in my early 20s hah. Though, to be honest, I'm kind of surprised that there aren't more on this list. But it isn't taking into account whats got to be around three times as many books that I already own and have every intention of reading...someday. There's also a handful of fanfics that I'm technically also right in the middle of reading.

So much reading.
