Harry Potter Request
Since pretty much everyone who may still have this journal pop up on their friend's list is back from the days when I was really into Harry Potter, I figured this would be the best place to post this request.
Recently I've re-sparked my obsession with the series and I want to start reading fanfiction again. I know the major hubs and all that, but with a fandom this large and diverse with over a decade under its belt, there's just a ridiculous amount to sift through to find anything of really good quality.
This is where you all come in. I would love, love, love any recommendations you guys can give me - be it individual fics, good rec lists posted elsewhere, or just a particular author you love. Is there anything you think of as a fandom-defining-everyone-must-read fic? Just something cute and fluffy you like? Something dark and twisty that had you craving more?
Seriously guys, I want anything and everything you think is good. Pretty please :)
Just a few general notes about my particular tastes in fic: I adore Marauder's era fic. Just in general my favorite ships are James/Lily, Remus/Sirius, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Draco, Draco/Ginny ... um, I'm sure there's more. I'm pretty open-minded about ships. The only one I really don't like is Harry/Hermione - unless it's really well done. But yeah, pretty much anything goes. Oh, and Neville is adorable.
So yeah, I know this is potentially a heavy request, and I'm basically being lazy and not searching on my own, but .... uh ... maybe I'll make you guys doodles to reward awesomeness or something? Heck, I love you all and would just do that anyway <3
