everytime my dad says something like "maybe your brother will meet a girl there..." my heart sinks. the kid is not into girls. "He has so many female friends, he likes to be around girls. This is good." Yeah dad. Sure he does. Meanwhile I'm online scrolling through lists of therapists that work with adolescents, multi-cultural and gay identity issues ;-) "Yeah dad. Sure." while I work on editing Theo's Margaret Sanger paper. haha. oh life.

yesterday was really nice, exactly the bubble buster I needed. Nina helped me with with my cover letter, seeing Mike and hearing him talk and seeing how much he's changed and grown (and eating amazing hummus) was inspiring...John + dinner at the most beautiful restaurant I've ever been to...we covered a lot of ground.
Saturday should be interesting. Too many things to do and people to see but I think the day makes sense.

I really hope we get this apartment in the East Village. It sounds perfect. $600/month each?! I love writers who decide they need to go off to Long Island to write their novels and are willing to rent their place for really really cheap...

If not, then back to Brooklyn and I'm completely ok with that.

New York just completely expanded for me yesterday. job prospects, party plans for next week, free dance show, free arts and crafts events (5th avenue museum mile!), cheap theatre, poetry slams, all these random job offers that last a day or two but you shmooze make some cash and see a different side of "inside ny" anyway this entry's dumb.
