So I've been getting back into punk rock again. I've been listening to Fugazi and Minor Threat and Jawbreaker a lot. The problem with this is, since I've been stuck in my indie place for such a long time that I don't know of any good punk bands anymore. And I don't mean the mainstream shite out there right now, I mean good, old fashioned, DIY punk rock.
I'm asking you, my dear friends, to recommend some good punk bands to me. Things I look for in a band:
+good lyrics. None of this teenage loving shit. Love is fine, I just want meaningful.
+decent melodies and hooks. I like to get punk stuck in my head.
+I'd really like current bands, this includes new bands and old bands that are still together.
I hope something comes up from this request.
