on snacks and Greek mythology

1. The only thing I have in the apartment in the food category is: 1 bag of wheat bread, 3 apples, 1 jart of Skippy's Reduced Fat Creamy peanut butter, 1 pack of honey cured ham from Trader Joe's, 12 extra large eggs, 1 quart of 2% low fat milk, and a box of cinnamon graham crackers. I'm not one for variety. I love trying new things, but when I find something I love, I stick with it and just keep adding to the repertoire.

During the school week, lunch is the only time I eat out. Otherwise, it's eggs for breakfast and a peanut butter ham sandwich and apples with peanut butter. Sometimes I'll have an egg for dinner too. What a life! But I just wanted to say that I LOVE Skippy. I should venture out and try other brands, but Skippy works for me.

2. For the past year, I've been trying to remember what this book was. All I remember was that I read it a hundred times and more in the 5th grade. I wanted to steal that book from the library. As it was, all I did was renew it every two weeks. It started my lifelong appreciation for Greek mythology. I remembered the illustrations as being gorgeous depictions of the gods and goddesses, each chapter/segment profiling the Greek pantheon and then some. The book I remembered being flat and tall, height-wise. And thanks to the people at whatwasthatbook, I now know what it is: D'Aulaires Book of Greek Myths. It changed my 10-year-old life. I just ordered it off Amazon, and I can't WAIT for it to get here so I can just fall back into it.
