Sometimes I catch myself wondering if my cats get jealous when I look at pictures of other cats online. Then I make myself write "cats do not think on the same emotional levels as humans" over and over again fifty times.

Yesterday I thought jayne had died because I couldn't get in touch with her. Called my mother in hysterics and was told firmly that there was no plausible way jayne jhad died. Felt foolish. (They were very manly hysterics.)

Have decided that apples are my favorite fruit, aesthetically speaking. Edibly speaking, my favorite fruit is marischino cherries, or possibly pickles. It depends on whether I am eating a sandwich or a sunday.

In other news, had excellent tea party on wednesday with jayne. Photos will be supplied under cut. (Only of the table. Jayne has all the photos of us dressed outrageously and also posing like models. By "Posing like models" I mean "climbing all over the cat ladder and sneering". )

Clearly, I was born to be a caterer. (This photo was taken prior to Johnny jumping up on the table and drinking the milk.)

These are my delightfully tiny cakes. The small ones were baked in cupcake tins, the larger one was baked in a tin can. They were supposed to be white but, since i only had two eggs and the recipe called for three egg whites, I beat the two eggs together whole, added some milk, and hoped. As a result, they came out yellow, but still tasted fine.

See? The bigger cake is double layered. Do not scoff at my amazing abilities until you have been up from two to three thirty in the morning, frosting very tiny cakes and trying to arrange sprinkles that keep falling all over the place! And I'm not going to mention how my tiny sandwiches wouldn't stay together. Why does this house not have toothpinks with shiny coloured plastic wrap at one end? Why?!

Hidden in there was also an explanation of why I insist on having two pictures of the cakes.

This is a closeup of food. Food's pretty neat. Those weird cubes in the upper corner actually aren't cheese, they're apple. Yeah, I know.
