1. CHRISTMAS BREAK, I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABIES. LOTS OF BABIES.
2. I'm pleased by the news that Chris Weitz will be directing New Moon. This means he will have adapted two of my favorite books ever. I was reasonably satisfied with The Golden Compass as a huge though somewhat dormant fan of the HDM books, so I have high hopes that he'll make this as good a movie as the studio's totally dumbass budget and schedule will allow.
Summit's official synopsis they now have out for the movie certainly doesn't make things look good for anyone hoping Taylor Lautner's still our Jacob:
"“In ‘New Moon,’ Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested."
Hm...Does this mean I shouldn't bother with this icon anymore? I'm feeling kind of alientated among all my Team Jacob girls in sortofbeautiful because I'm one of the only people who doesn't feel this great loyalty to Taylor. LOL. Remember the days when everybody was super pissed about Shark Boy being cast as Twilight's redeeming Bad Ass Mother Fucker who doesn't know what he's doing in such cheesy-ass books? I guess it was only the fact that he doesn't look like a 23-year-old on steroids that most people disliked. I really don't even care if movie-Jake isn't 6'7 and huge as a werewolf like in the book and actually wish everybody would let that go.
3. I've been listening to Alexandre Desplat's score for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and have this strong feeling I'm going to cry like a baby at this movie. I haven't gotten this excited to see something just based on critical acclaim (as opposed to having fan interest in it) since I was really impatient for Atonement to come out.
4. Yay, It's A Wonderful Life is on. I'm pretty sure I've never seen this all the way through.
