LOLLA. Only two people got injured during Rage Against the Machine, which was an accomplishment because of how insane it was. I'd never seen so many people in one place in my life. They were probably my favorite but Radiohead were pretty damn awesome, of course. While I was waiting in a long line for ice cream and suffering in the miserably hot weather I talked to this nice guy named James who said he liked my hair, which is too bad because it only looks the way it did when it's exploding Hermione-style in the humidity. One morning at the hotel I got really mad at Shep and Layla for going to the continental breakfast without me until I found out that Shep actually left without Layla first and they weren't just working together to try to make me feel like a third wheel as much as possible. And I now have enjoyed the experience of being on a really packed subway and concluded that going Greyhound is still worse.
I'm going back and watching all of season 2 of Project Runway and like probably millions before me I really want to squeeze Daniel. He's got to be the most agreeable and drama-proof person ever to compete on the show. Chloe was a good designer, too, but I guess none of her stuff ever resembles anything I would want to wear myself so I can't help but be disappointed that she won that season.
Yesterday I went with Kitty and Layla to go hang out with Rebekah and unpack some stuff at their house in Bloomington. It's finally starting to sink in that I'm going to be there this year and I'm starting to get a little excited.
So...I only just tonight finally went out to Borders and bought Breaking Dawn. Right now I'm reading Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns and want to finish that first (I'm liking it a lot, but judging so far I don't think I would rank it above
The Killing Joke as most fans do - at least Alan Moore doesn't nearly lose himself in trying to make Batman as dark and noir-esque as humanly possible). But we're going to Carbondale on Sunday to see Aaron and Julie so I might end up reading a lot of BD on the ride.
But HEY. There's a whole chunk of the book that's all in Jacob's point of view? And that's why the chapter titles suddenly get really long and funny, like "You Know Things Are Bad When I Feel Guilty About Being Rude To Vampires"? Why didn't anybody tell me this?! If only I could just skip right to that part. LOL.
