+ a movie meme:
1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times:
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, my childhood favorite. It's weird to think how many of my very favorite movies I probably haven't even seen that many times...
2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theatre:
My record is 4 times, which belongs to Brokeback Mountain and I know something else, too, but I can't remember what it was. I also saw the last Pirates of the Caribbean 3X, Pride & Prejudice 3X, most Harry Potters twice, and both X2 and The Prestige twice in two days...I see movies I like a lot of times. :)
3. Name an actor who would make you more inclined to see a movie:
Johnny Depp. Kate Winslet (has she ever been in anything bad?). Geoffrey Rush. Natalie Portman because I have a girl-crush on her. And Ewan McGregor because naturally I must support my husband.
4. Name an actor who would make you less likely to see a movie:
Kevin James. Mandy Moore. Dakota Fanning.
5. Name a movie that you can quote from:
Almost Famous..."You, Aaron, are what it's all about. You're real. Your house is real. Your room is real. Real, you know...Real." "...Want to see me feed a mouse to my snake?" "Yes!"
6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs:
Moulin Rouge. I am not usually a fan of musicals at all unless the music is really good and not annoyingly pointless in regards to the story, and it also helps if there's entertaining dancing involved, especially if it's done by Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly....but yeah, MR is one exception there. LOL.
7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with:
Same as above. I especially like to sing a deliberately horrible narcoleptic-Argentinean-esque version of "Roxanne."
8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see:
Dead Man, In the Mood For Love, Jeux d'enfants and Gattaca.
9. Name a movie that you own:
Kung Fu Hustle
10.Name an actor who launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops:
Rufus Wainwright did a pretty competent performance in Heights.
11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in?
Nope.
12. Ever made out in a movie? In the movie theatre?
Watching Kill Bill Vol. 1 (I know, really romantic movie, LOL). In a theatre, no.
13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it:
Oldboy
14. Ever walked out of a movie?
The only one I think I ever have walked out of is The Phantom of the Opera.
15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theatre:
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
16. Popcorn?
Rarely. Candy!
17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?:
Probably twice a month on average.
18. What's the last movie you saw in the theatre?
Becoming Jane
19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
I guess drama or action. I usually like pretty much everything except war movies and horror movies.
20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
Gosh, I have no idea...Maybe Batman Returns.
21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
Dreamgirls, although I enjoyed the costumes
22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Dark City or The City of Lost Children
23. What is the scariest movie you've seen?
I remember The Haunting had me unable to sleep for two days when I saw that when I was about twelve. But Psycho can still fuck my shit up, haha.
24. What is the funniest movie you've seen?
Zoolander or Army of Darkness
