SO, I saw the title and read the whole thing. I remember JCSuperstar when we saw the revival (oh summer theatre and Little Shop). AND I fell in love with that show too, it is in my top 3.
I was contemplating spending the money I didn't have and seeing it when it was in philly, but I'm kind of glad I didn't now. A 68 year old Jesus has no place anywhere. I'm sorry, he was less than half that when he died.
Oh, and go rent the two movies (there is a movie version of the original 70's one and one from the 2001 version. The 2001 version I think is better, in style and all that, but the idea of the 70's version is still pretty cool (watch it you'll see) but I agree that the show, as a whole, works much better when it is modernized. I still get chills thinking about seeing it on broadway. So good then.
