i just spent a whole week at EIU with 50 or so other kids that all have the same thing that i do. we all have this infinite passion for art that cant be explained. every single kid there wanted to be there. every one of us felt special to know that we were there. all of us were so different, but it was amazing how we all had this one huge thing in common. it connected me with people i would call strange and stay away from here in EG. it made me feel guilty for doing that. it connected me with people that truly changed my life. it made me see art differently. it made me see ME differently. i never had confidence in my art. i was always missing that. this whole time, i was missing out on so much. now i know i can keep up with others, now i KNOW that i am ready for AP next year, and i know what i have to do with the rest of my life.
honestly, the only thing missing was lindsey. everything i have ever done related to art, lindsey has been there with me. i felt fairly incomplete knowing she wasnt my roommate or sitting next to me in sculpture class. i missed you so much linds, you have no idea.
God that was a lot all at once.
