I SURVIED HURRICANE CHARLIE< FRIday 13th aug, 2004

Yeah, so I went to orlando, and had an awesome time, despite the murderous wrath of a hurricane. the worst conditions i endured was no electicity, and sleeping in a hallway with 4 other people. oh, and an almost tornado. sometime i'll get jill to help me post some pictures of a funnel cloud over our car. yeah, OVER the car.

part of me is thankful for the hurricane, though. on thursday, we went to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure (the roller coasters and things of the like.). And had 20 min. lines. versus the seasonal average of like 1 hr 30 mins. ROCk. the Incredible Hulk coaster is wicked awesome. the next day, we went to the Unviversal Studios movie portion. my favorite ride ever, yeah The Revenge of the Mummy. Its new, and it is very very good. lots of fire, well a decent amount. not too much, but enough to dry you off from the rain. in the wait line, which was a bit long, but only because its an awesome ride, was littered with props, costumes and set pieces. so there was plenty to do. also, the ride has tv's all through, that build up this curse about the actors and crew, brendan frasier and the director among other crew members are interviewed about the curse. it was funny. so, the line to the ride did not suck at all because there is a lot going on.
as we were leaving the park, the storm pulled through and drenched us. after that, it was all hurricane time thruough saturday.

on sunday, we went back to U.Studios to go onto the Terminator performance, which was decent. and then went to MGM studios (disney world!) and THEN to Epcot (by the way, the ride Test Track sucks, and thats no exaggeration.) for a few things and finally fireworks. i think that 3 parks in one day, acheiving the daily goals for rides, etc, is pretty unheard of.

so, overall, my little vacation was good. tho, flying by myself for the first time, scary.

and i ate alligator.
