(no subject)
Well, I just got my grades for the semester. I got As in everything but Linguistics, which is about what I expected. Although I was convinced that I was going to fail Linguistics and was about ready to sign up for it again. By my math, I shouldn't have gotten higher than a D. Instead, I have a B which gives me a 3.76 for the semester and puts me at a 2.7 cumulative. A 2.7 is what I need to have and keep going for the education program, so I'm really excited about this right now. Now, however, I need to find another class to get signed into. Hopefully I'll get a literature class of some sort.
Kerie, her sister, and the dog have abandoned me for the month to go to Tennessee. It kind of sucks being cooped up in the apartment by myself, but it's also kind of neat. At least I got a job that will keep me occupied during the day. I'm an employee of the campus bookstore now. For Christmas break it's an 8-5, Monday through Friday gig, which is pleasant, and they'll work with my school schedule during the semester. It also gives me 10% off text books, and 25% off of everything else.
I've got most of my SCA kit together now. Pretty much I just need to pick up something to make my coat of plates out of, get some gauntlets, and I'm set. There's an event with a tournament at the end of February; I hope to be authorized in time to fight in that.
I need to go to the store before the snow gets any worse. Bicycling in the winter kind of sucks. So I leave you with this:
