(no subject)
So yesterday was my birthday. It swung between okay and bad at various times, unfortunately. I lost my cell phone, didn't really have much fun (or time available) to stab bitches at Amtgard, and my presents weren't that great. I got some good stuff, like the kilt Kerie made for me (it's red and pocketed) and a book called The Physics of Superheroes. However, the rest of the stuff? Dishes, pots and pans, a copy of The Miracle Worker and Mr. Holland's Opus, a pair of dining room chairs, and a chest of drawers. Essentially, I didn't have a birthday; I had a house warming party. I tried hard, but I really just can't get excited about dishes and pans.
After that, we went to Amtgard which really wasn't much fun. It was a monster day, so I went as a dwarf. A lot of the people there can suck the fun out of anything. I'm trying to make some changes to it, but it's hard to do. Kerie, Lydia, and I went to Camden Park. Michelle was supposed to come too, but she had had bad seafood and wasn't feeling too hot. I had fun there, though. There was a bunch of kids hanging out at the log flume who waited by a curve in it. When you passed, they would all shout "happy birthday!" and splash you with water. Oddly enough, Kerie got more water on her from that then she did from the ride. :P
When Lydia left, Kerie and I went out to Applebee's and intended to go see Fantastic Four. However, there were some problems with the restaurant and we ended up there past the time the movie started, so that kind of sucked. So we went to Walmart and I bought myself a present. Nerf has a sniper rifle that I've been interested in for awhile, so that's what I got. It's really fun to play with. Kerie got a shotglass checkers thing for $8, which she was really happy about.
My ride for Energy Express is about to get here, so I need to go. I'll be living in Hurricane throughout the week, so those of you in the area who want to hang out, I'll be available in the evenings.
