I though overall this was great.

Can I just say I loved Mary's responses? She seemed very aware, both of herself and those around her and at the very least resigned to the reality. And her thought that she would share but Sherlock wouldn't was amusing.

People seemed to have liked Mary (thank goodness). Obviously there's a lot more licence with her as she is absent from the tv canon, but still. Nice to know it was well received!

This just gorgeous. The style of writing is really interesting, and absolutely perfect for this premise. You've got the characters spot on, and I have to say - I usually hate Mary, (simply because she gets between the boys) but your version is wonderful. Exactly how I want her to be. Bravo!

I'm a bit fascinated by Mary from the original stories - what she has to put up with, mainly, as Watson yet again describes how he 'told my wife I was going out'. I imagine her as quite the superwoman with enormous reserves of patience and a taste for the unusual.

I agree with daisychains, I ususally hate Mary for the same reason, but I really love your version. She seemt worthy of John, but not as much as Sherlock is. This is a lovely fic. :)

On paper she is an obstacle, but I think she is quite the character. Like I said to daisychains, I think she's a lady with hidden depths.
