I'm trying to explain to my girlfriend via cellphone how to knit a short-row heel. I don't think she really believes what I'm saying.

Now, now. !! I did it, anyway. Part of the reason I was having qualms is because my heel was on two-fifths of the stitches instead of half. So it's sort of....a bad heel. Bad bad. I think it might turn into an actual sock, though, if I keep working on it.
