"PUNK FUCK'N ROCK!"

What I've Been Doing: Because of my heavy school load and my very time consuming/exhausting obligations for rugby I've been really engaged in my "real life" and haven't had much time to sit around idly thinking about the minor things that interest me.  But Maggotfest was last weekend which means I've had about two hours of sleep a night, been binge drinking, and kicked the whole things off on Thursday with a healthy dose of minor alcohol poisoning.  So with that in mind I want to think about ANYTHING besides my real life at the moment.

What that means to you: Sorry folks but it's going to be another one of those music posts where I stick up a bunch of videos from youtube and tell you all how great my taste in music is.

This posts theme: PUNK FUCK'n ROCK!  It's my main genre.  I like it because of the fundamental contradiction which lies at its heart.  Punk is supposed to be a simple, straight forward type of rock and/or role which means that as a genre it should be pretty limited.  Irronically though, punk has been around since the late 60's which means that every couple of years a new generation of bands comes out and reinvents it.  The result is a genre of music which is at its heart very simple, but remains incredibly divers.  Here's a few samples.

ETA: I am going to do this in two posts because I can only put so many youtube vids in each post.
