Tae Kwan Do tournament last weekend
Results:
Form (Chon Ji) - 2nd place
Sparring - 4th place
Balance Beam battle (think American Gladiators "Joust" game) - 3rd place
It was ok for my first tournament. I wish I did better in the sparring and form. Brian Mcnasty actually won the sparring bracket. I thought I got 1st place in form but this guy who does a different martial form than any of us (Shaolin Kung-fu) got first. I think it was because his form was harder (more steps to be exact) than ours. Oh well, there's always next semester. I can't wait to keep doing Tae Kwan, it's so much fun. In 2 weeks I will be a yellow belt! I am going to continue it by going to my Master's school in Norristown for only 20 bux a month (dirt cheap compared to other martial arts schools). Then, I can kick people's butts (hopefully) in sparring.
