I realize you probably don't even know who I am, but I added your journal to my friends list because your words have encouraged me and lifted me up so many times.

I've had times in my life just like what you're going through. When I was growing up my family was struggling desperately financially. we had to trust God with every day knowing he would provide for us. And people would just walk up to us and hand us a check for just enough to pay the bills that month, saying simply God told me to give you this. At one point things were especially bad and we couldn't afford food. We prayed the Lord's prayer, emphasis on "Give us this day our daily bread". The next day a bakery went out of business and had to liguidate their entire stock of bread. They were giving away all the free BREAD we could carry, and it got us through till money came in. It's beena long road with lots of obstacles on the way, but God was preparing us for the promises he had in store, and only now, 15 years later, are we really seeing his promises fulfilled and his financial blesing poured out. The really hard time was just a test and a season, and with every winter, there is a spring waiting just around the corner. God will not give us more than we can handle and he will not forget us. I think he often waits until we truly know it's time to give up and we have to fall on him knowing there's no other way we can make it. Only then can he truly show his power and do a real miracle. When we throw up our hands and give up and say I can't do this is when he takes it in his hands and says now I will do this. I'm reminded of the story of Lazarus. Jesus' disciples came to him saying his friend was sick and near death. But he didn't come immediately. Because of this Lazarus died. We all know the story and know how it ends, and because of this we usually fail to realize how it must have been for them. They came with faith knowing they would get a miracle but instead Lazarus DIED. It was over, Jesus had failed, and they had to be wondering if he was really the messiah if he couldn't even have the sense to respond in a timely manner to save his friend's life. As far as everyone was concerned it was over. God had failed. And only then did Jesus raise his friend from the dead. Never forget that even though circumstances may show otherwise, God is always in control and he is faithful and good. The darkest hour of the night is always just before the first rays of light break through the clouds. And I'm the watchman telling you the dawn is near.

OMGOSH Thank you so much. This really helped me, you have testimony in that area which assures me its not hype, God is true when it comes to finances and not just every other aspect. I dont know why this aspect is so hard to trust him in but it has been and kind of still is, but now Im willing to just do it and wait on Him and be faithful.
