It was a great one. We watched the UFC on Saturday. Sara's buddies from jui jitsu came over and our other friends were here. It was a pretty silent night at that point. Her friends are very quiet. After the PPv they left and we broke out my new clay poker chips. I was very frustrated all night. I played on $3 and lost every hand. Even if I would have not folded once I would have only won 2 times. Bad night for me. After I lost out I went for a walk. It wasn't about money I mean, come on $3? It was just about not winning one time. So after a few other people busted out I bought back in for $2 and wound up cashing out $7. Mark's older brother John showed up way late. This guy won a tournament for $550 recently and has some Vegas experience. I busted him in one hand ONE HAND! It was hilarious. He got busted out 3 times for a total of $9. So now I am not allowed to complain about cards for 3 weeks. And I am fully willing to do so.
We went to bed around 4:30 and woke up at 11. Sara was hung over so I ran out to get food and stuff. We finally got moving at 2pm. we had to be at the Fat Cat by 3 for the sound check with drowning pool. We got there at like 2:50 and met up with James and Trish. Amy walked out shortly after we arrived. We stood outside waiting for listeners to show up. Jason Jones (the singer for Drowning Pool) kept walking in and out, being real cool. No rock star attitude. The sound check went well. They played 4 songs instead of 2. Sara and I both got CDs signed. Hers is for her older brother in Jersey. I got a pic with Jason Jones that I will post later. Sara and I would have got one with the whole band but my boss called at a very in-opportune time. ohh well.
We went to Starbucks and then a Mexican joint for dinner. The food was horrible. We couldn't keep the taste from coming back either. Then it was time to start the show. Our locals did really well, then we split to drop some stuff off at home and by the time we got back Atomship was finished. Flaw rocked the house, and then I got to intro Drowning Pool. It was a sold out crowd, and the energy was amazing. Drowning Pool did a great job and Jason Jones does awesome at the Dave Williams songs. The band is short though man. Like 5'6? Sara called them pocket rockers. I fell out laughing. After all that we raced home and went to bed.
I will post pics later but for now I need to run.
