I'm from Sydney, Australia originally but am currently living in London with my Israeli boyfriend (no, I'm not Jewish). I prefer Sydney to London in terms of quality of life and settling down - but London is fun, interesting and racy, plus we manage to save quite a lot of money here (that we hope to take back to Australia, almost treble, and buy a house or something with.)
I loved Sydney... my sister and I went there when I graduated from high school and also spent a week in Hobart (everyone in Sydney thought we were nuts but we loved it) :) We didn't want to leave Australia, the state of mind and people were amazingly relaxed and kind. Plus it's just gorgeous there.
London is awesome too, I've been a couple times on educational trips. I actually loved York and Bath a lot too.
I'm from Memphis, TN originally (yes Elvis all that jazz) and just moved to NYC a year ago with my new husband to go to graduate school for design, he's in school for 3D animation. NYC is great for learning but we do not want to live here so once things are done with school/work we are heading off into the blue... not sure where. I love it out west, maybe we'll find something there.
In the meantime I am struggling with my thesis and hoping to get it done and graduate... it's been quite hard.
