I Hate Music, I Hate the Scene, I Hate My Records

I am so tired of everything I listen to. I used to feel really connected to all of my music, and I just don't anymore (it's still better than everyone else's music however). Everything new on the radio sucks. Because they all think they are so new and innovative, and in reality NONE of it is new or innovative. It's all overblown, self-righteous attempts at being artsy and progressive. Coheed and Cambria? I fucking rest my case. Anything that WAS new and innovative (or, at the very least fresh and nice to listen to) has been copied into obscurity and become very, very tiring. Most of these copy-cat bands are from the original bands own hands (the new Fall Out Boy album sounds like they are trying to be Panic! At the Disco, a freaking xerox version of themselves that THEY created. WTF Pete Wentz?) And don't get me started on "indie" rock. Because thank you very much Zach Braff, you destroyed the Shins by making them big enough to wind up in VW commercials. I don't listen to the radio because the formats that aren't 10 years old are 6 months old and I've already heard/heard of and decided I don't like the bands and therefore they are already boring. My music snobbery has backed me into a corner once again. But I LIKE being a music snob. I don't care if it's a matter of opinion. As far as I'm concerned it's fact and my taste blows everyone else out of the water. Why you may ask? Because I have heard enough of it to know that most of it sucks, is unoriginal and if it's on the radio the discussion about it is automatically over. But now I'm tired of the stuff I have deemed worthy and have no outlets to find anything new (don't suggest internet, my computer and I are not on speaking terms... plus, I know it all sucks anyway). So I guess I am just going to have to go back to listening to oldies. Because I know they didn't take themselves seriously and the Led Zeppelin riff is ACTUALLY Zeppelin and not... oh, I don't know... name a rock band from 1990 on.
