Byxbee Park
Here are some pics from an overcast Sunday visit to
Byxbee Park. A view of the extreme high tide in the salt marsh.
A family of black-tailed jackrabbits is out enjoying an early spring day.
♪♫♪ Here comes Peter Cottontail , hoppin' down the bunny trail ... ♪♫♪
... And turning into the brush at the side of the trail (and he's not an actual cottontail at all, either).
Colorful flowers have popped into bloom.
A couple of Canada geese.
A northern harrier patrols the hillside looking for small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds -- and probably rabbits -- to eat.
The
Pole Field, environmental art on top of the closed landfill.
A last look at the slough before heading home.
