India Basin Open Space

Here are some pics from Sunday's visit to one of my favorite newest places in San Francisco, India Basin Open Space.

Looking over a couple of tide pools toward downtown.

Gumplant is one of the few things in bloom here now.

Some of the ships lying at anchor in San Francisco Bay, waiting their turn to enter the Port of Oakland.

This ship seems to be having engine trouble, emitting ragged plumes of ominous black smoke every few minutes.

A large flock of pelicans wheels overhead.

A cormorant rides the waves of the Bay.

Telegraph weed is the only other thing in bloom here.

Autumn is floof season.

One last look toward downtown before leaving.
