Babelfishing Poetry: "I Became An Atom"
Here we go with more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, tweak the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week's feature is contemporary composer Christopher Cerrone's minimalist "
Swept Up Whole," from his song cycle The Pieces That Fall to Earth for soprano and chamber orchestra (watch video
here). Enjoy.
I Became An Atom
You did not finally stop
an unpleasant feeling of honor.
I became an atom.
The wind blows.
The brothers became one.
Wow.
