San Francisco Bay Trail

On Saturday, after doing an errand in San Francisco, D. and I took a little walk along the Bay Trail between Mariposa St. and Pier 50.  Here are some of the pics I took before it began to sprinkle.

We see the unused dry dock at Pier 70.

A western gull perches on a rock in the bay.

A mixed flock of scaups, wigeons and ruddy ducks floats close to shore.

Wigeons.

Scaup hen.

Pair of scaup drakes.

Pretty flowers and plants along parts of the trail.

A western gull perches on the Pier 52 boat launch ramp.

Another gull sits atop a rusted pulley, surveying the waterfront.

Neon-bright cones lie at tipsy angles near the MV Cape Hudson docked at Pier 50.
