Warm Water Cove
On Saturday D. and I had an errand to do in San Francisco, and before heading back home we took some time to visit
Warm Water Cove on the edge of San Francisco Bay.
We saw lots of flowers (including statice, cosmos, echinacea, California poppy and mustard weed), some insects/arthropods (bumble bees, ladybugs, spotted cucumber beetle, sea roaches), lots of Western gulls, some strange trash, unusual graffiti and guerrilla art, ships in the bay and at neighboring Pier 80, a couple of feral cat colonies, a harbor seal bobbing in the cove, an impromptu yoga session on Tire Beach, and the now-decommissioned Potrero Generating Station power plant. Here are some of the pics I took.
