Babelfishing Poetry: "I Started A Little Late For That"
Hello, lovely to see you, so glad you've popped by my humble little blog. Please pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable, because it's time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, futz around with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week we feature Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes and their No. 1 R&B hit from 1972, "
If You Don't Know Me By Now" (listen to song
here). Enjoy.
I Started A Little Late For That
All you need to do,
avoid me.
I'd like to understand.
Now baby, just so you know,
good or bad.
Need?
Try a happy family.
Oh, the excitement -- not.
(I started a little late for that.)
Our kids, we believe,
gadibidiyillade fighting and swearing.
To achieve, we are on the way.
I,
Lady, as well as yourself.
I think.
Can you believe that?
They are always together.
This is correct.
As well as you say you can,
or you can be healthy.
What is love?
Oh, the reason you do not see eye-to-eye, what is it?
I do not know if this is possible.
You never know, whooooa, far.
