Babelfishing Poetry: "I Do Not Need To Exercise"
Hello, lovely to see you, so glad you've popped by my humble little blog! And you're just in time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, futz the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week we Babelfish a song originally recorded in 1963 by Buck Owens but became better known to me and my friends via the Beatles' 1965 cover version, "Act Naturally" (watch Buck Owens video here, or listen to the Beatles version here). Enjoy.
I Do Not Need To Exercise
I try to go to the cinema.
This is a big star. I try.
We condemn the film and are sad and lonely.
In general, all of the requirements for safe operation.
OK, I'm a big star, I bet.
You might win an Oscar. (You will not.)
I have a picture of a big star.
I do not even play a role.
Okay, I look forward to coming.
Then, to see the biggest fool,
knock big time.
