Babelfishing Poetry: "Summer And I Will Sing Again"
Hey, blog peeps! I hope you've all been fine and well? No upsets? No disasters? Splendid. Pull up a chair; you're just in time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, modify the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week we feature a bouncy little tune quite appropriate now that it's summer -- Mungo Jerry's big 1970 hit, "
In The Summertime" (watch video
here). Enjoy.
Summer And I Will Sing Again
In the summer of great weather,
and as far as you can stretch out the heavens.
When the weather's good, you have womankind,
women have the courage, a housewife has.
Oof! Drink! Mandatory use.
You can see it go.
Daddy Rich would try rice snacks.
If Karen's father, just does not make sense.
The fastest way to make a lot
or twenty tons.
You can be the sun, setting out,
and lying in a cave.
We're not a dog has been stained with people.
We are not, yet some of you.
We all love you, but, you? Please.
We go fishing when the weather is good,
or go swim in the underwater current.
I have always been happy to live.
Yes, it is our philosophy.
Everywhere, sing with us! Dee dee dee dee dee.
Gimme, gimme, gimme, give, give, give.
Yes, we should be fun.
Dee dee da da da da da da da dee dee da doo, yeah,
gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, give, give, give.
In the winter, yes, this is part of the world.
Bring a single wine bottle and wear your bright clothing.
Summer and I will sing again.
We'll go to that drive or maybe we'll live.
If it's a rich, handsome man, if it is beautiful, I will bring friends
and enter the city.
