Babelfishing Poetry: "One Mile Back To Normal"
It's Friday. It seems like a minute ago it was Tuesday. How did that happen? It's a mystery to me. (I am mystified easily.) Anyway, it's Friday and time for more Babelfishing poetry, where I take song lyrics, run them through an on-line translator such as (but not necessarily) Babelfish, play with the punctuation a bit, and wind up with a quirky kind of poem.
This week we Babelfish Stephen Sondheim's lovely song from his 1973 musical A Little Night Music, "
Send In The Clowns" (watch Barbra Streisand's spellbinding rendition of the song
here). Enjoy.
One Mile Back To Normal
However, they are plentiful.
What is your husband?
I was on the ground in the past
where I am in the air.
Send a clown!
They are not happy.
You do not agree?
You cannot move people around the continuing broken.
Where is the clown?
Please send me a clown!
Only when
it stops
the door,
and finally
know that
you want,
the entrance
is one
mile back
to normal,
please ensure
that they,
rather than
a line.
You do not love a clown pole.
It's my fault.
I'm afraid.
I do not want to do what I want.
My honey; sorry.
But Piero product?
Quick, send in a clown!
Never mind, here they are.
However, they are plentiful.
He did not get sick.
You lose the time of the late career.
Where is the clown?
There must be
a clown well next year.
