We stayed at
The Ascott Somerset Lake Point (which is a service apartment) and guess what? Fiona Xie was also living in the same place as us. Haha! We saw her with her Thai-Aus boyfriend coming down from the lift on Christmas night.
She's really a pretty thing, except the makeup on her face was awfully thick so it made her looked kindda plastic-ky. But still very gorgeous! My mom initially thought she was a Thai bah-pok (ah gua) from far, because those Thai trans were this sort of pretty too :)
There were 10 of us in this BKK trip (me, my two aunts, my mom, my 2 cousins Linda & Joyce and my aunt's friends - Susan, Jen and the Quek sisters) so we took two units at The Ascott.
Oh and service apartments are basically just hotels, with the exception that the rooms inside are just like regular apartments. There's individual rooms, kitchen, laundry room etc.
One is for you to pee and the other is for you to wash your ass. LOL! I was like telling my mom "so child-friendly! They have an extra sink for small kids".
-.-'''
View from the hotel.
4 days worth of hardcore shopping. It was fun albeit tiring. I went for a full body massage at Health Land and the place is great. I love the individual rooms, so purrrrrdy :D
We had to strip naked and when the massue was massaging my breast and buttocks I was practically giggling.
So ticklish.
Day One
We arrived at night and immediately scooted off to Suan Lam to shop. Cabs are dirt cheap there with prices starting at 30-ish Baht (approx $1 plus). But when it hits midnight, cabbies don't usually go by meter and they charge you insane flat rate of 200-300 Baht!
Dinner was Viet. My aunt's treat because she gave wrong info on our flight details so it was her punishment! Her damage? 3000-ish Baht.
See this sweater? It's so comfy ;) Cuz' it belongs to my dear smellyboy. Haha.
Day Two
We went CTC and shopped like hell. BKK was so cooling I didn't even sweat there. Haha. Lucky hor.
Dinner was Thai. My other aunt's treat because she struck 2nd price lottery ($6,000)!
Bangkok was so cold when I went there!
And the good thing about having an all ladies trip is that undies can be strewn everywhere. So convenient.
My aunt was practically sun-ning her G strings in the living room area.
Plus all the vain aunties brought their stash of beauty products so if you're feeeling in need of anything to papmer yourself, you could just pop in any one of the 3 bathrooms and slather on creams of all sorts.
Vanity runs in the family...
Day Three
Platinum Mall! We spent the whole day there. You know it's only when you go BKK that you realize how expensive stuff in Singapore is. Stuff on sale are exactly what you get in Far East but the price is just a fraction of it.
Got the kenna cheated feeling :(
Dinner was Chinese. Susan treated us because she made all 9 of us wait for her while she spent about half an hour at Hard Rock Cafe shopping.
We are so good at finding fault and making people pay for our dinners!
My aunt brought us to Mambo to watch Ah Gua show. Sia lah, the men are so chio! One of them look like Vivan Tsu (Kok Wei will sure love to see him/her).
Day Four
Last day :) I will miss BKK but I think I miss Singapore even more. Lol. We were short of time so we ended up doing last minute shopping at the Airport! I love Boots. I got the whitening gel from Boots Botanics because my aunts were like "Girl ah, how come you look so black?!".
I'm upset! Brenda is fair no more :(
