As far as I'm aware, there have been no exceptions to the two-day gap that occurred prior to my arrival in the city other than those who were brought here in roughly the same timeframe.
Reports have indicated that the subjects:
• Have no clear memory of what occurred
• Cannot find material evidence of anything that occurred
• Have a vague impression of increased population in the city during this time
• Have been left with feelings of both anxiety and comfort
It seems that the phenomenon was also in effect whether or not the subject was 'chipped'. Note also that there have been no reported instances of subjects coming to in an unexpected location or situation; moreover, no posts on the network nor any information personally noted in this period have been referenced.
Possible theories include:
• A mass hallucination
• A dream communally experienced by everyone, or a vast majority, in the city at the same time
• 'Scientist' involvement, which does not preclude either of the above and has some disquieting implications
• Citywide amnesia, which is quite frankly the most unlikely option
Putting something so pervasive down to a trick of the mind is somewhat unsatisfying, I suppose. If there are better explanations, I would like to hear them.
An unrelated question: Exactly how long can one neglect one of these communicators before they begin shocking you?

[In the interests of personal security, I would prefer to keep where I live as private as possible. Are there any free rooms, relatively out of the way, in your building?]

If anyone is expected or able to study in this kind of atmosphere, I commend them. Really.
[in the background something bangs loudly twice; there's a stony silence before a door slams, echoing down the hallway he's just entered]

Discedo: a city that has been devoured by something other than the Heartless, containing common elements with Traverse Town, home to a number of residents from Earth (who seem to have some connection with the world of the Coliseum). The Heartless have not found the Heart here yet; or perhaps it is simply not there to be found. Yet even Traverse Town had a Heart.
Pleasantries aside, what I have learned so far of these 'scientists' and their 'chips' has not yet been properly substantiated. Though they seem to be established facts of life here, a healthy skepticism and a weather eye on where and how 'scientists' crops up will serve me well. Dissimulo should also be kept in mind, though it seems the Replica is heavily involved there. (I should remember, too, that he was Axel's instrument; further observation is needed.)
Death has a terrible sense of humor; honestly -- the Replicas, Roxas, and Riku? With this run of luck, Axel and Marluxia will turn up by next week. Perhaps the Keyblade Master, too.
Moreover, it has not given me back my Heart. It would be illogical to have expected it; death is, however, usually associated with some form of closure.
(Odd that true death -- for that is what I am forced to conclude coincides with 'fading' until evidence proves otherwise -- has separated us all when being relieved of our Hearts did not. Though, perhaps that was illogic as well.)
The principal question, then, is a quite simple one: what now?
[OOC: ... Apologies for the obscene length. (If anyone actually read all of that, you are insane.) Uhhhm. Would anyone like to commentlog spooky stuff in the high school? :D; He's coincidentally there on exploration.]
