China update
So, China is pretty amazing. But I think it would be a little more amazing if my ankle wasn't sprained. I think it was from jumping off Kari's bed, cause this has been going on for awhile. Oh well, still fun. I'm settling down in Beijing, weekend trips to counterfit markets, buying movies for a dollar a piece spending about 4 bucks a day on food, "American Bonding" nights when we don't have class the next day and I'm moving out of the dorms and into my friend's apartment on the 6th of March.
We go on our Sudy Tour in a few days, two weeks in Southern China (Guizhou and Yunnan Provinces)in rural villages doing crazy stuff. I guess for one of the nights we get to stay in these rooms on concrete poles to view wild elephats. It's gonna be amazing! I've never been to a tropical climate before, so it should be interesting.
Other than that, things are going pretty good, I got over my homesickness, and my Chinese is improving pretty fast, but it's still pretty bad. At least taxi rides and restaurants are less awkward now.
Oh! Chinese New Year is starting up early, fireworks are going off everywhere, and there really cheap. Like, a huge pack of firecrackers for 35 kuai (about 4.75). I think I'm gonna go buy some now.
