Thursday Next. This was the easiest day BY FAR, which is strange since I love a lot of female characters in books. But still, it has to be Thursday. To make a pun, because these books live on puns (seriously, there’s a character called Paige Turner), I partially chose Thursday because she is a female character IN a book. Or rather in a lot of books, since she spends most of her time hopping from book to book catching awol characters, investigating grammavores and stopping people from selling verbs on the black market. All this when she’s not busy saving the world from pink slime, stopping the Hades siblings, helping Jane get back together with Rochester, and avoiding being killed by slapstick coincidences caused by drops in entropy. Her father is an eradicated Time Agent, but she still exists, despite the fact that he was technically erased from existence before she was born. (He still drops by) Her uncle Mycroft (yes that Mycroft) is a genius, her mentor is Miss Havisham, and she has a genetically engineered Dodo. Thursday is BEYOND awesome. She’s resourceful, knows Shakespeare backwards and forwards, is nice to Neanderthals, and you really don’t want to mess with her family or she will hunt you down.
