Concept of the Day: PORTMANTEAU
A Portmanteau, ladies and gents, is a combination of two or more words or morphemes - and their definitions - into one new word. There have been many brilliant examples of this grammatical construction, however, a new - clearly superior specimen - has just arrived on the scene and we shall be using it to demonstrate the beauties of the portmanteau:
ABNOSOME
Merging the two words, "abnormal" and "awesome", this portmanteau effortlessly demonstrates both qualities. Remember, a portmanteau must contain both parts of the two words and their definitions. What makes "abnosome" particularly abnosome is its abnosome ability to demonstrate this quality. The word abnosome is abnormally awesome enough to need very little additional definition...provided someone is in the correct mindset, and has their brainwaves wired to the appropriate frequency. This has, through highly scientific measures, been determined to be: 3 terahertz or 3000 gigahertz - the zenith of the Tremendously High Frequency.
