The new economy

May 06, 2009 08:51

So I made a pie two nights ago and had a bit of pastry left over, not enough for a whole pie and I couldn't be bothered making more pastry. So I decided to make two small lattice pies, but didn't have enough apple. So I bought apples and raspberries (£2.49) to use up 50p-worth of pastry.

Then I had a cup of cream left over so rather than letting it go bad, decided to make creme caramel... for which I had to buy 5 eggs (£1.49) in order to use up 60p-worth of cream.

I would make a completely awesome economist.
