The other day Hannah (my new fun colleague) and I were getting thoroughly brassed off at the stupid things people call their children. After a day of plowing through proofs filled with Barnabys, Texases and Cocos, and energised further by a newspaper article about someone calling their child 4Real (with 4Eva and 4Sure to follow) we started to think ( Read more... )

No effluent yet, but you just wait till she gets in tomorrow. I'd forgotten that one. Yes, all in K&K accents. It's infecting the office to such an extent that my boss came over the other day and said (while I was eating caramel slice) "Gosh, you've absoLUTEly ballooowined of late," to which Hannah replied "She's absolutely gropable." Her new thing, though, is from that episode where Kim's in a flashback, wondering how she could have had an Indian baby, and remembering staggering through a restaurant on New Year's calling "Imraaaan," to the waiter. We went to karaoke the other night and whenever Hannah didn't know the lyrics she'd shriek "Imraaan," and by the end of the night most of my colleagues were drunkenly embracing on Queen St yelling "Imraaan..." Occasionally the office will be quiet and I'll hear a little "Imraaan," float from her corner. The correct response is, of course, "Happy New Yeeeear,". Everyone's real good at it now. My boss has started to forget himself and do K&K accents to his boss. I'm cracking myself up just thinking about it.
