Wardrobe malfunction

Oct 30, 2006 04:37

I swear, there’s a malevolent wardrobe fairy following me around. Today I’m wearing an outfit I love - white business shirt tucked into a high-waisted grey pencil skirt with a grey belt and black high heels. Fab. I’ve been out and about a lot today, and I’ve just discovered that the back of my petticoat rolled itself up and is sitting very noticeably just below my skirt’s waistband at the back. It's been like that since, oh, about nine this morning. I have just been suffused with a tomato-like hue along with a strong feeling of shame and anger at my clothes. Will they never just sit where they’re put? Is it so I don’t get too proud? Is it because I abandoned my jeans? They've never let me down. Maybe they're staging a coup on everything else I own. Is sartorial humiliation just my lot in life?
