well i must say that i'm impressed with america and am proud to call myself an american. I am ashamed to say that i did not back obama the whole time because i wanted hillary in office so badly i developed a hatred for the man. but when it came down to a week before i had to dot my vote on the paper i wanted to believe in that dot, so i did my proper non bias research. My choice came down to the green party's Cynthia Mckinney, and Barack Obama. I ultimetly chose obama because he is an idealist, and i like how that looks on a person.
After finding out who won a huge sense of pride came over me. His speach was moving and impressive. I give a lot of respect for Mccain which is hard for me to realize. That man has been through a lot of heartache in his years and he is still smiling and pressing forward; you can't fault a man for trying his hardest and then realizing his mistakes.
But the one thing i truly can back up with obama is that we are the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. We should not devide ourselves and i'm glad there is a leader that is atleast going to try and instill that value into the nation. I fear for him but i also know a lot of people look up to him and he has inspired a lot of people to get out and vote and i can only hope that the inspiration carries out into communities nation wide. we did our part with voting, now lets do our part in helping the president succeed.
