60th Annual Tony Awards
OK...so the Tonys overall were pretty predictable. However....
How in the world could the Revival of "Sweeney Todd" lose to "Pajama Game?" Pajama Game is one of the stupidest shows ever! And here is Sweeney, which is completely unique and different from the original production! Are all the Tony voters old and scared of something new? What the heck happened? "Pajama Game" has been getting bad reviews, "Sweeney" great ones, and it loses to an old-fasioned song-and-dance show with an idiotic plot and stupid music! Grrr! Also, I just have to say that I feel bad for Ms. Patti Lupone, who apparently, has to wait another 20+ years before she'll get another Tony. Why does Broadway hate her so much? Was anyone really interested in LaChanze? Did "Color Purple" even appear all that interesting? I say NO!
Ok..that felt good. Now I'm off to bed to rest up for my Musical Theatre final tomorrow!
