What's Been Going On....
It's finally arrived!!! My new DL with my new name. So I guess that means it's completely official...I'm a Hoskins! Yay.
Job search is going ok...a couple of prospects, but I'm starting to panic a little bit about when that perfect job is going to come. We can survive a while on Andrew's salary alone, but not forever. Pretty soon I'm going to just have to take something. Bah. In good news, I did get a great job at a Pet Sitting/Dog Walking service! I'm super excited about it..it's so much fun and it's something I really love doing. It pays crap, of course, but as long as I can get a second (main money earning) job, we should be fine. Working for this company, I'll get experience, training and certification which is great! Andrew and I think it'll be the perfect thing for me to start my own service once we're in NYC. It will work really well with auditions and rehearsals and such. So good things happening still....
I'm wishing I had a darn iPhone myself now! With this pet sitting/walking stuff, I'm going everywhere and I could really use that cool Google maps feature! Andrew LOVES his phone and has showed it off to pretty much everyone now.
We're looking forward to the birthday stuff on the 10th...I'm going to give Andrew his math problem and I think he's going to think it's pretty cool and also pretty crazy of me.
Some friends of Andrew got us tickets to the Hollywood Bowl for his birthday. The show is on Saturday night and it' a parody on Handel's Messiah written by Eric Idle. He's going to be there, too, and that should be super cool.
I spoke with my TTD photographer and it looks like we'll be postponing the shoot until October because the weather's been pretty unpredictable and warm. We're also thinking it might be cool to shoot in some light rain! However, I'm in the process of setting up a time for him to shoot my headshots, so I'm excited about that. He's trying to find some studio space first, since theatricals tend to be more of a studio look and film is more outdoor.
